So I bought this motor that looked new for $350 cash. When I got the motor home we noticed water pouring out of the thermostat housing. Looked online and the housing is no longer available Sleepy I ended up picking up a product called Marine-tex. Great product and heard from the supplier they patch engine blocks with it. So that issue is still fixed , but the pull rope has to be pulled 40ish times for it to catch and then works all day. The next day you have to pull another 40ish times for it to catch. Should I take it to the marine mechanic or should I mess with it? Thank you . Wj

If you need to ask you should take it to a mechanic.

There is a couple Old Marine parts stores in Minnisota that will have the parts you need. Someone might chime in to tell you the names. Or just look them up.
