I just caught a 15-16" bass that had scars on the back 1/3 of its body. My question is how recent are these marks. Did something try to eat a bass this big or are they old and just never completely heal? How does one tell how recent the scars or bite marks are?

Tough to say wsg. Are there big pike or musky in that body of water? A few years ago on devils lake I watched a big pike eat 14 or so bass with ease!
