I would like to see a no harvest season statewide like they do in Northern Wisconsin until the middle of June. I'm not trying to pick a fight with all you "its my God given right to keep whatever I want" crowd but it seems silly to kill these fish when they are so vulnerable. I feel the same way about walleyes in our river systems during the spawn. What do you guys think?

Bass are a very prolific spawners, and have survived being plucked off of beds for decades. I would strongly support a catch and release season from the close of gamefish season to the opening of gamefish season. Pretty sure Wisconsin is one of two states with a closed season on bass, so either Wisconsin has the greatest minds in fisheries, or its one of two states stuck in the 1800's with its fisheries mentality.

I fish high pressured Waukesha County lakes and they are as good or better than they were 20 years ago.
