Volunteer musky guides/anglers needed. The Ripon High School Outdoors Club is sponsoring their third annual Musky Outing Monday night October 31st on Little Green Lake. Last year we took 47 high school students in volunteer boats. Students saw a number of follows, several had hook ups and one musky was even landed. Most volunteers will have a sucker or two out the back of the boat and the students then can cast musky or heavy bass gear for fish. Student experience ranges from seasoned musky anglers to “never-have-fished-before.” Volunteer guides should not be concerned about the learning curve with bait casting gear as most high school students learn very quickly. Volunteer guides provide boat, motor, gas, and equipment. The RHS Outdoors Club pays for student annual fishing licenses, bait, quick strike rigs, and pizza and soda after at Vandy’s. We leave Ripon High School about 3:15pm, fish till dusk and then stop at Vandy’s for pizza and soda. All bait can be picked up at The Landing. The Club will run a bait tab. The last two years students and volunteer guides alike had a great time. Please consider donating your time and expertise to help area teens enjoy an evening of chasing muskies. If you would like to volunteer and have a teenager that you would like to bring along from another school district feel free. We ask that you keep one boat space open for a Ripon student. We will pay all expenses for students from outside the district also. Guides can take one or two students per boat. Most guides will take two students and not fish. If interested IM me through LakeLink or email direct at rodmaker@dotnet.com title the email “musky trip” or it might go to junk file. Hope to hear from you, Buzz Butters – RHS Outdoors Club
