Has anyone out there speared or caught frogs to eat here in Wisconsin? If so, care to share a little info about the subject... just really curious

Got out for the first time today! Thought itd be easy trying to find some size but we had a difficult time. The ones we did see were on the smaller side. Anyone have any areas to suggest in southern Wisconsin? I want to continue with this sport but am at a loss for where to try!

I used to gig frogs all the time. But now I am struggling to find lakes/ponds with big enough frogs. If you have questions P.M. Me?

Are any of the frog in Wisconsin really big enough to eat? Even the Bullfrogs around here pale in comparison to the ones I've eaten at restaraunts.
