What's up everyone. I was told by the Oshkosh fishery biologist to hit up Lake-Link. He said there were a lot of awesome, experienced, friendly fishermen to talk to here. I'm looking to fish lake Partridge and the Wolf River this fall. Specifically the weekend of September 20-23. I was thinking of staying at Blue Top Resort. It's right on the lake and seems like it has decent rates. Anyone ever stayed there? I know in the winter they usually allow access to the lake, which is commendable. I've heard good and bad things about Lake Partridge. I figured I'd find out from the people in the know. Do you guys have any experiences, tips or information to share. Where do you like to stay? Where do you like to fish? I'm not looking for any "Secret spots" I'm just looking for a general point of attack to hit this system of water. I'm really interested to hear your great stories!

I've booked my stay at BlueTop Resort. Got a nice end lot and I will be renting a boat for the weekend. I've been researching what kind of tackle, bait and tactics works best in the river. I've read that lake Partridge is good for fishing the weeds edge for Walleye and they have a decent amount of Northern Pike. The Wolf on the other hand; I'm assuming I will be catching more Small Mouth, White Bass and Crappie. I'm just going to hope for the best.

Hey guys, thanks for your thoughts. The prices seemed pretty reasonable and "nothing fancy" is what I'm looking for. What were you catching when you went up?

I'm going to have to check out Gala, I didn't see it when I was searching. I'll give it a look.

Do you prefer the upper or lower wolf river?

I have stayed at Gala in the spring last year and it was a great place to stay. Bar/restaurant on the premesis. Owner was a great guy. Find the deep hole and you will find the fish. The rock wall in Fremont always holds fish.
