Southern Wis. water levels

Another fish die off on the Rock river in Hustisford. Looks like it`s mainly Carp and Bullheads this time

VIN, I hear ya. A friend has a cabin up just below the UP and he's hold me it was really bad a couple years ago.

I do have to say that it looked like the boat traffic was much lighter than usual this past weekend.

The Rock river in Hustisford had a fish Die off below the Dam . The Hustisford Utility`s controls the dam water flow ( this is what I`m told , Not positive though ) . This happened last week Wednesday. They flushed the river before the DNR got an accurate count. ( flushed, meaning they opened the dam and flushed all the dead fish downstream )

Sad to say, join the folks from the north woods. Our lakes went way down and even with all the rain this year the lakes have come up but it's a real slow process. It could take years to be back up to the normal high water mark if it keeps raining on a regular basis. I feel for all the people down in the southern part of the state.

The Fox in Kenosha and Racine counties is as low as I've ever seen it. Barely any current at all. All the lakes in the area are noticeably low. No rain forecast for the next ten days.

Guess it's time for a rain dance or two.
