We hunted in SD all the way till April 1st. Had a great year. Averaged right at 40.5 birds a shoot and killed birds on 100% of our hunts. A good year all around with great field conditions where we could drive in most every day unless the landowner didn't want us to. Only problem with a spring like this is when you have guys calling concerned since they are reading all the reports on here and other sites that there are no birds left to hunt in SD. March 31st morning hunt and harvested more in the afternoon.

Hunted with Top Gun Guide Service in Jamestown, ND this weekend. Great weather, great hunting lots of geese. Probably seen 500,000 snows and blues with thousands of honkers and speckle bellies passing through. I would defintely recommend this guide service.

It's official... We cancelled our trip to Aberdeen. The outfitter will hold our deposit till next year... He claims it is over in the Dakotas...

Just got back from the Aberdeen S. Dakota area and birds are past there for the most part. We averaged 30 birds a day and from the guys I know in N. Dakota they are getting birds right now but there is nothing to keep them there and they are blowing through to Canada. Best advice I can give right now is call before you go if your going to N. Dakota this weekend or later. If your hunting south of N. Dakota forget it for this year.

goose caller don't bail out yet. canada has a snow storm coming this week they are calling for 6-12 inches of snow and real cold temps. that should make the birds stay longer. i have a hunt book nxt week in north dakota with top gun outfitter. i'm thinking it should still be good. plus juvies arnt really there yet too. i hope everything goes good

Aberdeen is going to be hot I think this coming week! Birds are just filling in at sand lake. I'll bet you will smack em! Good Luck! Post some pics!

Supposed to be heading to Aberdeen SD next Thursday. I am fearful that this warm weather has pushed the birds right through SD already....

Heading out for the first time ever today for these. Going with a few canada decoys and hoping for the best. Not expecting big things, but hoping. Saw about 70 white fronts yesterday. That was cool.

Shot 42 today (picture 1), warmed up to about 80 degrees today. There still seem to be a large number of birds in SW Iowa, (picture 2 from Sunday) not sure what these temps will do. Kip and Allen from flatland outfitters are great guys that know what they are doing. I highly recommend them if looking for a guide service.

Great pics guys Just got back at 0 dark 30 today from a Canada goose hunt in NY with Final Flight Waterfowlers Had a Great time. Shot 96 geese in 4 days. Scott and the Dead Ringer boys have the birds and know how to killem. Got the shown pic from our afternoon hunt on saturday just before we had to drive home. Killed some geese comen to a farmers pond for some rest. My yellow lab Hunter had a GREAT time. For me that was the best part getting to goto a new state and hunt with my dog was so much fun. This hunt is going in the scrapbook. It was nice to get him some action before spring. Also got to take a guy from the area with me who has never been goose hunting and was a big deer guy till this trip. He was asking me everything about waterfowlhunting on the way back. He even said himself that he is hooked. Already trying to buy my calls off me and my decoys. lol
