Problems for the Loons

Several news releases are stating that the Loons are landing into small water areas, acouple of acres etc. They are unable to get out due to the length of open water to gain flight. About a quater mile is needed for them to get up. If you spot what appears to be a Loon that may find itself "trapped" please call your local DNR people and they will be there to get it out and taken to a larger body of water. The Loons are "stacked" into this area because of the lakes up north not being open yet. Thanks for your consideration on the matter Smile

It was pretty cool to see them around the Madison area. You don't normally see that many for that long.
