It has officially began. Tons of geese headed back north last night before dark and this morning there is 10 times as many flying around locally. Also not a migration but there are thousands of goldeneyes in the river in menasha. I mean way more than normal. Cool to see that many. My second favorite time of the year, when the ducks return. Only a couple weeks away now...

Saw a ton of birds this weekend once again at home, saw three different sets of woodies on the land that look to be using the houses we put up, which is awesome. Also saw 2 pairs of geese that seem to have built nests on the land. Tons of mudhens, good amount of mallards, some bluebills still around, and saw 2 ring bills also. All the ducks make fishing hard! Always looking at them and not jigging! Big Smile

Ringnecks showed up in Navarino ponds yesterday. I drive past them the majority of the days in a week...always fun to stop and peek through the binos.
