When night fishing do you find color makes a big difference?

Do glow colors help for Walleye like Salmon?

you know i guy could go broke buying fishings jigs and equipment.

I fish with three different colors silver, gold and perch like. also have size 5 to 11. if lure manufacture say lure runs at certain depth it seem that they usually run shallower than they advertise.

I have a hard time buying any other color. I have done allot of boundary waters fishing where weight and size of your tackle box was a problem. After years we came up with these colors. to keep the tackle box small and has work for years.

I think that the lure manufacture bring out new colors just to catch fisherman and not fish

Also do your homework for the lake or river you fish may have different color bait fish. then try that color lure.

Whatever your favorite is. That is what you should use. Color does make a difference but, if you have had better luck on a perch pattern and Joe Shmoe on here tells you to go with something you have never used, you probably aren't going to fish with as much confidence as if you were throwing something you know is tried and true. That is why I buy about 4-5 different patterns and stick with those. The kicker here..... SIZE... When fishing at night I will use baits sometimes two or three sizes longer or bigger that what I was using during the day. Sometimes I will keep the same pattern or color scheme and then go from throwing a number 10 husky jerk to sometimes a number 14. Yes, 14 for walleyes. Walleyes can see well at night but why not make a bigger target profile for them!

Walleye are extremely sensitive to color. And it does make a huge difference. Amount of light provided by the moon also changes the effectiveness.

IMO mirror/chrome flash is pretty important.

I wont give any colors, that is for you to try.

I dont believe color makes much difference in walleye fishing. Ive caught walleyes at night with just a plain firetiger rapla.
