I got a question...I got 6 rods of craigslist for trolling walleye there 7' medium hard action 10-20 pound test rods...I guess the question is is that to stiff of a rod to be pulling planer boards? people are telling me medium is plenty fine but when I go with them the rods look like there gonna snap with all the pressure on them from board and cranks....any thoughts would help me a lot...thanks fellow fisherman
Why does it have to cost an arm and leg to be a sportsman now-a-days? Offshore boards have doubled in price over the last few years. IMHO way over priced now. I unfortunately need to look for other options. I can't afford to pay twice as much for basically the same product. This applies to any product.
I use OffShores and they work very good but I have over $70 invested into each board between tattle flags and the right releases. These boards are not rocket science and difficult to make, if another country can make them for 1/2 the price I don't have a problem buying them if they work the same. Popi still hasn't given any example of why they are junk other than where they're made. I know all my OffShores have messed up and chipped front edges and I've never hit anything with them.
As for copying them I don't think OffShore was the first one to come out with these as I'm pretty sure Yellow Bird was out a couple decades before OS and YB probably copied someone else!
I call them cheap Chinese junk because. 1) they are cheap
2) they are Chinese
3) most things made in china are junk.
If everyone keeps buying everything from the communist countries it makes those countries stronger and it makes our country weaker.people here complain about how much they are being paid but then go out and buy the cheap Chinese junk,I will never understand
. Lets try and support the USA and not buy counterfeit or blatant copies of great American ideas.Sorry, I will get off my soapbox, and watch the greatest country in the world............................................
question....has anyone tried them new opti tackle lime green boards with the tattle flags? are they as good as the offshore brand? im looking to getting into trolling walleye...i dont see the point of buying the offshore board for 30 bucks then 25 dollars for the tattle flag kit....the opti tackle come with the tattle flag installed for 27 bucks at fleet farm....just looking for anyones 2 cents thanks
