What would be the easiest way to scale a walleye if you were going too. I never tried it but I scale all my perch and they are a pain so I can only imagine how tough a walleye would be to scale. Thanks

You will find that they scale easier than perch. I use a drum scaler for all my fish. Nothing scales harder than perch. You could probably do alright using whatever method you use for your perch. Mrt.

Perch and walleye are from the same fish family despite the size difference. You scale perch because the cooked fish, with skin on, tastes better in some peoples opinion. Walleyes have even less flavor than perch. My friend just scaled some walleyes and grilled the fillets in aluminum foil with the skin on and ate them. Sometimes extra work is rewarded with a better tasting meal. He said they were excellent.
