IMHO for coyote hunting in Wisconsin there isn't enough difference between a 22/250 and a 223 to matter. It comes down to the gun. Again IMHO the AR15 is about the most practical rifle platform to use for coyotes. Most of them are as accurate as bolt guns, you can get a great trigger for them and ammo is much cheaper.
Problem is that if you don't already have one you're probably going to be paying a premium for one now after Obama's speech on Sunday night. But at least you can still get them, don't be surprised if a year from now you won't be able to!
To all those who said Obama wasn't after our guns and voted for him JUST WAIT!
Most of the vids I've seen, they were shooting a 223. My dad shot one this year with a .22 and cci velocitors, he said one shot to the head and it dropped in it tracks. It was only a 50yd shot. If it were up to me, .223 would be my choice. Accurate, ammo is cheap, and less damage to the pelt if your gonna sell it.
