If you know your choke and using appropriate shot 70 is very doable. Done it more than once with a dead coyote choke and #5 hevi 13 1 3/4 ounce. Once I rushed a shot and totally misjudged distance. Rolled the bird right over at 90 yards.

well, the girlfriend desided she wanted to go camping and it happends to be next to my deer hunting/turkey hunting area.

i took her out for her first turkey hunt even though she said "this is a camping trip not a hunting trip!!"

i went out in to the feild and seen a flock of turkeys put the stalk on them and took a long shot about 70 yards and nailed a gobbler.

Was awesome having her look at me and tell me that her head was spinning because the adrenaline and smileing ear to ear.

the second turkey we set up at 250 Pm along a small patch of woods looking over a feild. turkeys come right to us at about 3 PM was at 20 yards and the picture explains the rest.

They will strut year around. Hens will even strut occasionally. All about establishing dominance.

We have been seeing a bunch of toms that are continually strutting, and their heads are bright red & blue like in the spring time. anybody else seeing this???

shot last night behind my house. 10 3/4" beard 5/8" spurs. didn't weigh him.

Have a turkey hunt coming up on the sportsman Channel on the show Hunting Adventures. It is going to air on 8/12, 15th, 19th think around 2-3 pm if any of you want to watch it. Here are a few pictures from this past spring. Went 100% success on 2 day hunts this year!!

Has anyone seen that website www.yellowbrickoutdoors.com, they have a turkey hunting video contest on there, I didn't get a turkey this year, but they do have some cool turkey videos that people have entered into the contest.

Our 6th season birds

4th season, Nebraska and 5th season birds.

His first season WI bird, not bad for an eleven year old.

My sons three Nebraska birds and one of the adults in the groups bird.

My son turned 10 last Thursday and got his first turkey Saturday morning. I think he is hooked!!!!!
