I saw 3 of them hanging out with a group of hens two weeks ago. Haven't seen any since.

Saw 8 different jakes hunting near Weyewega this a.m.. The guys that hunted the earlier periods saw plenty also. Nice for next year.

Lots of birds in general this year. We had a fenominal hatch last year because of early warm weather. Along with that there happen to be a lot of jakes out there this year too. I think with the amount of birds that hatched last year, a good number of the hens had double hatches.

I had the first season and on April 12th i saw 24 different jakes in one day. I also shot one Monday night, I thought it was a tom because i couldnt see his beard and he had a big red head and deep gobble.

Opening day I saw 2 Toms and a Jake. Two days ago scouting for this upcoming slot and morels, I saw 3 Jakes in a group.

saw two wed night. good hatch by me last year....needed that bad cause previous 2-3 years were HORRIBLE. 2 years ago i know of 2 chicks that made it to fall by my house.

17 by us this winter, have been seeing 2-6 at a time lately following the ladies. Now there are 16.....Dad got one with the x-bow. Tough winter though, hope it warms up soon or the late hatches could have small birds heading into next winter.
