if you watch the outdoor or sportsmans cannel on tv you have proboly seen the new dirty b from primos, this decoy is supose to look like a wounded gobbler and has a pull string to make it flap around on the ground. does anyone think a wounded gobbler would be affective? or do you think they are just finding another way to draw money out of our pockets?

I think it's a pretty good idea actually. I once shot a tom that was with two other toms and the other two started beating on the dead one and didn't want to leave when I stood up. Another time I shot a tom that was with 14, yes 14, jakes. At the shot about half the jakes flew away and they other ones started beating on the dead tom. It was cool to watch until I realized they were tearing my dinner apart!

I have only once shot a bird with another bird in tow. It was 2 jakes that went to town on the third bird I had just put the screws to. Beating up on a wounded bird is not uncommon.
Is is gonna bring a bird running at my blind? I doubt it.
Also take a look at some of the places these guys are hunting, where it is working. Sometimes there are 4 and 5 gobblers all strutting within 100 yards, or a whole damn field of them.
Thats not happening in my word.
The last two Toms I shot were with another Tom. Both times when I whacked the bird I wanted the other one attacked the shot one while he was doing his Last Rites Breakdance! So I don't see why it wouldn't work. Anyone have any luck with that squealing hen breeding call?
