drop shot for Pike?

Any of you that target Pike use drop shot rigs for deep weed edge fish with large live bait?

While pike are not the target of my drop shot...I do catch a lot of them on the rig.  And with a good rod and proper reaction with the hook set (or lift), you do tend to get them right on the upper lip most of the time...in fact I tend to land almost all of them, even with just 8lb fluoro.   I've landed many pike and a few skis in the low-mid 40 inch range, too....so I am not talking little snakes.
