On a lot of the boards for southeast wisconsin, a popular pike fishing technique is to use suckers. I use suckers while ice fishing but would like to try it in the summer. Any tackle tips, rigging tips, depths and typical locations would be helpful. My kids are 10 and 8 love fishing for them through the ice but casting in the summer isn't their idea of a great time. Growing up, I would hook bluegills through the back and put a big red and whit bobber off the dock. Something like this or do I need a slip bobber, no float, a single hook, wire leader, treble hook with a harness, drift a weed bed (I only have a row boat so no trolling), anchor and chum? Thanks for the help.
