New U.V. LURE COLORS

I see Mike Keys and several other fishing shows are hyping the new U.V. colors on fishing lures. Do these work or are just trying to sell more lures? Has anybody tried these?

i dont think its going to make or break you ever. in my opinion color is the least important aspect of musky fishing. how many big fish have been caught on a plain black bucktail or bulldawg. alot. like it was said earlier, water movement and vibration.

I personally don't think time will tell if U.V. baits are better. How does U.V. work is what should be asked. Light reflection. Explain that on a dawg worked down to 15' in 20'+ water in the fall on a over cast day on a wind blown shoreline where visibility is about two feet? Very little light reflection down that deep so how would a U.V. bait be better than a non U.V. bait? Vibration and the amount of water moved is more important for the fish to feel on there latteral line. Clear water lakes it might help. Remember the shows you seen they had pounders on and fishing at the most prime time of the year on a body of water that is at its peak for numbers. Pounders move alot of water. Take what you want from M. Keyes - no comment...

Bulldawgs are made in the U.S.A. as of late summer last year. Most of their other lures are all made here now too. As for the UV thing, I think it could make a difference, time will tell.

I think it's just hype to sell more baits. If you have unlimited funds, and it gives you more confidence go for it. I just hope Muskie Innovations starts making Bulldawgs back in the USA!!
