Pro tip: When using the two-rod-tango as described by Ulbian, it's better to leave it in free spool with the clicker on - otherwise it's a good way to lose a rod (experience talking - grabbed it as it was leaving the boat). They like hitting it on the free fall. sc

Here are a couple videos showing the creator, Jon Bondy, and how he utilizes the baits. I haven't used them yet but I think I'm going to try them this summer for when the fish suspend deep. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCniMseL7Vk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dEFqNINmLA

Casting the basin, dead sticking them, or employing a two rod approach. On the latter you have two rods rigged up, one with a Bondy, bulldawg, or something like it. The other a spinnerbait works well. Cast one bait out, engage the reel, and set the rod down. Pick the other rod up, cast it out, let it settle. Put that rod down and pick the first rod up and begin your retrieve. Finish retrieve and cast it back out, put the rod down, and pick the other one up and retrieve it as the other bait settles. Rinse and repeat. You can cover a ton of water like this. You'll also cover a ton of water if you simply jig them off the side of the boat. It might not seem like you are traveling far, and you won't be, but you are covering more of the water column. I prefer doing that instead of simply casting the same bait over and over only touching a small range of depths. Covering water isn't all about racing around covering surface water, there's also a vertical component involved. If you have a handle on identifying minute differences in water temps and why they exist where they do it basically eliminates the need to burn half a tank of gas in a day just searching for fish.

I certainly do think that they have a place and time that are a great option to have in the water. When bait fish schools are tightly gathered would be when I use them the most, but I have only been experimenting around with them thus far.
