Milwaukee Muskie Expo

www.muskieexpo.com February 10-12, 2012. 20th annual Milwaukee Muskie Expo is working on being the largest Muskie Show in the World with 30 additional booths over last year. Lots of Custom one of kind Muskie Lures here guys. More manufacturers as this is becoming a traditional Muskie Industry trade show. Couple of new items added this year. 1st is the World Championship Handcrafted Muskie Lure Contest. Lures are coming in from all over the world for this contest. We expect this will be growing more every year. 2ndly, Sunday of the show, first 200 kids will be receiving a Rod and Reel at this show. Sponsored by NPAA, a non-profit group that teaches kids to fish. 3rd, Sunday at 3pm - Lure Auction, all the lures came into the Worlds Championship Handcrafted Muskie Lure Contest will be auctioned off including the World Championship lures. Best part, all the auction proceeds are going being earmarked to teach kids Muskie Fishing, thru NPAA. Lots of excitement this year for the first Muskie Show that was ever put together now in its 20th year. More information on www.muskieexpo.com. Well CB II, will give that a try in Wausau this weekend (asking for a better price). Was looking for a rod in Milwaukee and I too found the prices about the same as Gander. Did not spend much in Milwaukee.

I attended the MME this year for the second year. I enjoy seeing all things muskie up close and meeting some great people. I saw the Keyes Team present which was very informative. One observation/complaint I have about the show is...many of the prices for merchandise at the show are actually more expensive than online or even gander mtn prices. I would think at a show like this the retailers would be looking to make deals and move some items. I came armed with a wod of cash wanting to buy stuff but was just unwilling to pay more for things than I knew I could find it other places.

Im going sat. It will be the first time I can enjoy it in a while.

I will be attending and will likely be there on Friday.
