New to the area, could use some help!
8/29/12 @ 10:30 AM
Hey guys,
I just got down here to Minnetonka from Grand Rapids; I'm going to the University of St. Thomas. Up north I was hunting ducks every chance I got and now I'm in new territory and am not sure where I need to start.
If anyone could point me in the direction of some good lakes, rice, even good towns, I would appreciate it!
I hope everyone has a successful and safe season!

Check out the Minnesota DNR website. Click on the link for the State Wildlife Management Areas. Once there, you can check on specific WMA locations. The counties you want to click on are Hennepin, Washington, Chisago, Anoka, Sherburne, Wright, Carver, McLeod, Scott, Dakota. These are all Twin Cities Metro area counties or within an hours drive. There will be maps and descriptions of the areas. They will also tell you what kind of birds you can find there. Hope that helps.
