Does anyone have names of guides, resorts that have sleep in ice shantys in central Minn. I've only found one one the "net" on Red Lake, looking for something closer to Green Bay. Thank you.

i know you do not want to go that far but we go to upper red every winter mid jan. or feb. with porta villa out of rogers resort. really nice people always on fish, give you a genni to use with every sleeper for 50-60pp a full 24hr. day. i have yet to find a deal this good on any lake in m.n. i live in oshkosh and we can get there in 8-9hrs straight driving just stopping to gas up and restroom breaks. not that bad for the quality of fishing. lake of the woods is typically a better bite than red but another 2-3hrs drive north. will be back up there in january next year, heading to leech end of august for a week of eyes and jumbo perch cant wait.

I would also try Lyback's on Mille Lacs. They have great rentals for the weekend at a great price. Im heading up there this weekend.

I would call the Red Door on Mille Lacs. Also call Eddy's on Mille Lacs. They both run pretty decent outfits.
