poorly guided ice fishing trip?

After having many years of success with a highly regarded ice fishing guide in the Sturgeon bay area, my buddies and me feel as if we got the shaft from a highly reputable, sturgeon bay guide this year. we were put in a shack with no marks on the vex for hours, checked on once after being seen throwing a football around, and asked why we didn't have any fish on the ice. the answer is simple. there were no fish in the vacinity of the shack. we have been ice fishing for over 20 years and know the tactics and techniques for the area. Has anyone ever had such poor service for the hard earned money ponied up for a weekend trip like this?

Yes it happened to 6 of us at $100 apiece. The big name guide never showed his face and sent us out with his helper. Helper said his boss was busy filming a show. We did catch a round 20 whitefish. I think the big named guide could at least came over by us and at lease introduced himself before his helper took are money! Our group of 9 stayed at Dales this year and just rented his shacks and he was there and giving us some tips,and all we did was rent the shacks.
