Hands down, a blood red Wolfram Epoxy 3mm tungsten jig with glow dots is always on one of my ice rods. Sinks like a rock, keeps your line tight, and offers a very small profile. Two spikes hooked between the eyes and you've got a cure for Gill lockjaw.

I seem to always come back to a purple Ratfinkee after trying other things. For me, that has been the best producer. I have also been trying out the tungsten Skandia and Northland Mooska jigs this year. I like the added weight. I almost always tip with a waxie.

Mitsy Ditsy, it's a teardrop turned side ways on a tiny jig hook. That way it sits horizontal and slow falls. Orange or bright red.

To many are looking for the magic bullet, or short cuts. They all work, it really comes down to size, presentation, and the person holding the handle, in other words experience. The only way to get experience is to get out there and do a lot of fishing. Through trial and error you'll figure it out all by yourself. Your fishing experience will be much more rewarding and enjoyable.

Tried and true Rat Finkies. Most productive color is black. Tipped with either white or red plastic wedge or spikes.

The Gill Getter from the Bro Bugs collection are what I've been using all season. Firetiger, Ladybug and the fruit fly. Size 14 tipped with a waxie. Depending on how they are biting makes me change how I put the waxie on. They have produced every day I have fished. I've been out around 30 times and never have left without 10 decent gills (8 inches or larger).
