I am trying to locate someone that sells chena bait. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I live in the central WI area but go to school in the Fox valley.
I watched a show on Big Green Lake last weekend where they were using larger strips of it for lake trout and they were catching them. I look forward to the first time I get into a school of pannies that are hungry and see if chena out-fishes spikes, or my favorite, Gulp waxies.
It's a strip of seal skin. Bluegills, crappies and perch. Cut in small strip, attach to hook. Action gets better the longer you fish and the more it gets beat up. Stays on your hook forever. Actually, it's kind of a pain to try to get off the hook at the end of the day.
Call them and they will ship it out immediately. You just send a check for ammount owed. I sent the check out the next morning after calling them, got home from work that same day and the puck was already in my mail box. This was about 10 years ago, so I'm not sure how they conduct business now.
