Bought a Ruger LCR .38/.357 for concealed carry. Already had a Ruger gp100 for home defense.

I got talked into shooting skeet this winter and I remembered that I had 14 cases of 20guage AA's in the garage so I figured I'd shoot them up. First week I shot it with my daughter's 870 youth gun, I'm 6'2" and 300lbs and to say it's a little short for me is an understatement but I had more fun shooting a couple rounds with that gun than with my 12 gauge Citori skeet gun.

But I decided I needed a 20 more suited for skeet so I picked up an 1100 skeet grade. With the little 870 I shot a 21 and a 19, with the 1100 skeet gun I shot a 15 and 17 LOL!

Bersa Thunder 22. Nice small semi auto handgun about the size of a Ruger SR22.This gun thrives on hypervelocity ammo ( CCI Velocitors and Aguila Interceptors). It does not like subsonic or standard velocity.

Own one Taurus. A 24/7 G2 9mm. Accurate as heck right out of the box. FTF about 3,but all fired with the second strike fire feature. Bad mags 2 of them. Jams....4 or 5 out of a 1000 rds. Would not trust my life to it. But it makes a nice truck gun. TAURUS CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS. AGAIN SUCKS. A pic of some of my favorite Gun Buys.

Watch guns and ammo single stack 9mm shootout on YouTube. They do a pretty good review on them.

While taurus may have decent reviews and a low price point, the resale value on them is not very good and the machining tolerances are not as good as other top brands. Spend the extra money and get yourself a higher quality handgun, especially if its your life depending on it.

"Taurus hand guns any feed back on this brand bought 2 709 and a pt111 price great and some good reviews on line "

Kinda too late for any of us to tell you if we don"t like Taurus, since you already bought 'em.

That said, they're an OK second-tier manufacturer, decent guns for the money, IMO.

I have a pt111. Good gun for the price. Think they copied glock on some of it. Have prolly 1000 rounds through it no issues.

Bugletrout, generally old shotgun ammo isn't worth much at all unless the boxes are very old and colorful and then they might be worth about what new ammo costs for people who want them to put on the shelf in the man cave. If their brass shells then they have some value but paper really doesn't. 16ga is not the easiest to find, I would take it to your gun club and either sell it cheap or give it to someone with a 16ga I'm sure they would appreciate it.

A couple years ago I had a guy sell me 40 boxes of paper 12ga trap loads - old stuff not the new Federals - for $1 per box. I used them for trap that summer and never had a mis fire and averaged over 23. Not bad for ammo over 50 years old.

Plain ol' Savage Axis in 25-06 came home recently from Cabelas...Just couldn't pass it up for the price. Sold the stock on Ebay and ordered a boyd's. Trigger job, stock and a new Vortex scope and its a tack driver for a little over half of what a new 700 BDL costs. Perfect!!

Bugletrout, you could find a local collector on armslist and see if they're interested in it. I don't know much about collectors guns so I don't know if it's worth anything or not but it would be a shame to destroy a piece of history like that

I've been going through some old/inherited gun stuff and came across some really old 16 gauge ammo. I believe it was my great-great uncle's that was handed down through my dad. The shells are made of paper and are mostly Winchester and Remington slugs and buckshot. There's a handful of Hawthorn Reliant Duck and Pheasant loads as well. Are they worth putting on gunbroker or should I take them to the cop shop for destruction?
