I went on a shopping spree on Fri. I bought a Ruger .357 revolver and a Bushmaster AR15 in .223 cal. That was an expensive BUT fun day. I bought the .357 to carry on me bowhunting and to keep in the nightstand at home and I am really not sure why I bought the AR15. Oh yeah, the election. Dull

Anyone else bought anything lately? Lets hear what, why, ect!!!!! Smile

I was at the Shot Show earlier this week and purchased an Ed Brown 1911. I can't wait to get it and get to the range. I bought the Special Forces II, stainless steel 45 cal. According to my wife this will cover a few birthdays and Christmas'.

Just picked up a Marlin Guide Gun in 45-70 with a bunch of components as a package deal, (brass, bullets, powder, dies, loaded ammo, etc) really nice wood also.

Also picked up a S&W 17-4 6" 22 revolver that is just about mint, you would have to look real hard to find any defects, not even a ring line on the cylinder.

Just picked up a Sig Sauer STX 1911 for $922 at Cabelas. The employee pricing took over a hundred off the gun. Fantastic promotion in my opinion. Kudos to Cabelas for letting the promo be used on guns.

Luckily I had everything ordered or already in hand before all the current craziness started. Got this together a couple weeks ago. Good thing too as I was going to wait till end of January before buying all the parts. Sold my first AR at a gun show few weeks back and decided I'd build this one just the way I wanted it. Tactical Innovations billet lower, Red-X 5.56 stainless upper, Mako stock and Core-15 billet charging handle with Nickel Boron BCG & hammer. Vortex scope was a spare I had laying around. I'll swap that out with a more compact model next summer. Now just to find some time to throw lead.

Not sure of the specifics on the model because the box is at home and i'm at the cabin but it's a UAG tactical 3x9 illuminated scope. I got it on clearance. For the $$, it's a pretty nice scope and will do until I can swing a higher end unit. Scope's won't be the limiting factor IF the ban goes into affect.

Glad I had the receivers and barrel. I rounded out the rest of the parts list with Xmas $$. Figured I'd better put it together while I still can. It's mostly Yankee Hill and Delton but there's some DPMS and Magpul parts in it too. It's a mutt but it's my mutt!

ice55, what kind of gun did you get? It looks like a typo in your post. I'm interested in any gun made in Wisconsin.
