I bought a Rock Island Armory 1911 9mm. Mainly for getting off of bowstand in the northwoods. Shot over 500 rounds out of it so far and no jamming-great pistol.

I will admit I am a glock a fan boy, but also a 1911 fanboy. And yes I realize what a huge contradiction that is, LOL! Glock was my first Tupperware gun over 15 years ago. Aside from 1911s I have more trigger time on glocks than anything else, though I've owned or shot probably everything else too. Plenty of guys I shoot with are glock haters, whice is ok cuz every one has their own preference. Though the one glock they all seem to enjoy to shoot and not give me crap about is is my 19. You will enjoy that gun for sure. Have fun! Big Smile

Not that theres anything wrong with Glocks but the reason most PD's use them is because they're cheap.

Picked up a Glock 19 recently already have a 21 for the home and the 19 will be for CC. What a fun gun to shoot and a lot less cost for 9mm than the .45s. Don't get me wrong the 21 still is my favorite and I still will go to the range with both but I will put more rounds through the 19. I also know that there are a lot of folks that don't care for Glocks and I don't care. Most of the PDs around here carry them for a reason. Enjoy what you have and have fun.

$5 or $8 a round, that's crazy! Understand the laws of supply and demand but man that's a lot of coin. Needless to say it won't be used for playing at the range! One could burn through a car payment in a hurry. Good luck with your new gun reeldrag!

What ammo are you using that's $7-$8 per round? Most 338 Lapua is about $5 per round. I would be reloading for this thing ASAP and do it for a whole lot less.

Congrats ditto I feel the same don't have a use for one but I want one! Unreel it's not the "8" dollars a round that scares me it's ever having to site that thing in again that does.

Nice choice reeldrag. Most are scared off by the $7 per round price. But they will put a good size hole in a bear and long range to boot. Congrats!

custom 338 lapua. Awesome gun shoots like a dream as far as accuracy goes. 5 holes at 300 yards. 2 inch group. But for the love of God I have never felt recoil like this!!!! Gun comes in just a bit under 8 lbs with optics and no muzzle brake. It kicks like a mule 5 shots and my shoulder was turning colors and felt like jello. It will be going to shop for a brake. Taking to ak in 9 days for brownies can't wait to see what it can do. Rem 700 action , fierce arms barrel, bell and Carlson stock, nightforce optics, Harris bipod, hornaday custom ammo. Super cranked to get back to the bush.

I bought two Spikes Tactical stripped lowers. The prices was O. K., not great, $110 each. I also bought from one of my favorite local shops, which factors in. Kinda a glut in the AR market right now.

I hope it stays that way, meaning no crazy shootings.

Just bought a RockRiver in 6.8spc. Read a lot of comments on forums and nobody had anything bad to say about it as a deer caliber. What are your negative comments? Not that I want to find out I made a mistake but just to learn more.
