I went on a shopping spree on Fri. I bought a Ruger .357 revolver and a Bushmaster AR15 in .223 cal. That was an expensive BUT fun day. I bought the .357 to carry on me bowhunting and to keep in the nightstand at home and I am really not sure why I bought the AR15. Oh yeah, the election. Dull

Anyone else bought anything lately? Lets hear what, why, ect!!!!! Smile

ice55, what kind of gun did you get? It looks like a typo in your post. I'm interested in any gun made in Wisconsin.

HC Walleye,

Do you have the LazerMag sight on the trigger guard? I was told that it can cause the gun to not fit certain CCW holsters. That's going to be the next purchase and I'd look into the one you have if the gun fits.

They are snappy little guns. I love carrying mine. Its small light weight and with my Tommy Theis IWB holster I wear it all day and don't even know its on me! Its a great combo!

I picked up my Ruger LC9 3206 with the LazerMag site this evening. Love the feel of this gun and can't wait to shoot it. I'm going to the cabin this weekend and I'm sure a few rounds will be put into the dirt pile behind the shed!

I just bought a Thompson Center Venture bolt action rifle haven't decided yet on what scope I want but have it narrowed down to a couple different ones. It is going to be my deer rifle for next year.

I got one I've wanted for a long time. A Remington XP100R-KS in 308. I owuld have been happy with a standard XP100R but I'll take the KS model out of the Custom Shop!

The new Shilen bbl chambered in .375Win on the old Ruger #1 seems to work OK. 3/4MOA at 100yds with 220 Hornady's. 5-shots into 2.06" @ 200yds. 2230fps with and 8fps ES for the 5 shots.

The 282gr hard-cast, gas check booolit at 1930fps seems to shoot at or just under 1.5" @ 100yds pretty much all day. Should drive through any elk in the dark timer within 50-75yds. Now all I need is a tag Smile

My partner will hopefully deflower it on a doe later in the deer season, with all sorts of forensic feedback.

Been bidding on a couple T/C Encores at Gunbroker.com Used to have a Contender in 35REM but am looking at Encores now since they have so much more caliber choices. Looking to get a .308 in rifle and a 7MM-08 in pistol versions. May even get a .50 cal smoke pole barrel also if price is right. Tounge Out

Just thought I'd post an update to my most recent AR purchase. I wasn't sure how well the polymer lower would hold for accuracy, but I figured it'd at least shoot minute of coyote accuracy. Based on this target (shot at 100 yards), I think it'll do just fine.

Now take into consideration that this is just with bore-sighting. I set it looking down the barrel and haven't touched any adjustments. And I don't think I will....

Fondled a Kahr CM40 last evening and I believe that my CM9 will be retired shortly. Throwing bowling balls is so much more fun than throwing baseballs.
