rod holders

just setting up boat for trolling and want to know what tree rod holder well be strong enough to run dipsy diver and planner boards

Has anyone used Ram Mount rod holders for trolling. I bought a new lund and was told it should not be a problem as long as you dont set your drags very tight. I have looked at track systems, but my only problem is if you are fishing in front you have no rod holder. I spoke with another guy who has the ram mounts and Fish On holders. He said the Fish on twist alot, but the rams twist very little. I only fish the big lake a few times a year, so I am looking for so info. Thanks

Great Lakes Planer gear is very solid at a good price. I love my GLP vertal trees. Traxtech, Big Jon, Berts, Cannon, etc all make quality stuff. I've heard good things about Fish On but haven't seen them in person. I have Cisco systems individual rod holders and their stuff is great but pricey.

If you are looking for a tree type check out mads outdoor products they have a 3 rod tree for $48 per side plus you can use the top hole for a net holder

I had tite-loks for a long time and ran them up until last year. Great holder for the money, plus their track accessories probably about half of the others. If the new boat didn't have Big Jons on it, they would have found there way on my current boat as well. Bought most of mine from Fleet, the track and adapters (if needed) I bought from franksgreatoutdoors.com who were great to deal with.

I like & use Tite-Lok adjustable rod holders. The are a great durable rod holder for the money. I have used them for 15 years and never have had any issues with them.
