I have no clue what the point of character witnesses is in a trial like this.

Were I the prosecutor, I would probably say, "The prosecution stipulates that Jerry didn't assualt every person he met, and may well have been a nice guy to those he didn't assualt.".

My post is about the pointless inclusion of character witness in trials like this, not child sexual assault.

I called things like having a pro football player take the stand to say Jerry is a good guy "shenanigans", not Sandusky's crimes. I don't think our justice system has punishments sufficient for Sandusky, they do a couple things right in the Middle East.

But that is the topic for another discussion and another forum.
