Has anyone noticed a crazy number of dead deer around, especially water areas? I believe Blue Tongue is becoming prevalent in some counties around Waukesha County but curious if you have any other thoughts, data, etc. In the past 9 days, I have found 3 dead bucks 2 eights and a 21" inside spread 10 pt., and a couple does. I am getting very sad about the future of the deer population around here. Neighbor found 6 does and another guy found 2 dead bucks.

EHD and Blue Tongue are NOT the same disease, though they both result in dead deer. Do some research on the web and/or make some phone calls instead of spreading falsities. Let's hope we don't experience a drought this year. No mud flats will really limit the midges that carry the EHD virus.

Thanks for the note. I understand EHD and blue tongue are very similiar diseases and the tests for each can bring back similiar results for either disease. Not being in the know on hunting matters in detail, have we had outbreaks of this in the past?
