Cleaned and relubed my multiplier but ended up with a left over piece at the end. I found a small brass ring on my lap after i reassembled the reel and cant figure out where it goes. Is anyone familiar with this reel or maybe have one they can take apart and help me figure out where this goes?

Thanks. I tried the same. I lost the box for the reel which most likely had an exploded diagram. I have an older 72 sr and the box with diagram but the reel had changed significantly between versions. It appears to work ok without the ring but it has not been tested by an angry steelhead yet. I fixed the old 72 sr that was my backup but loaned it to a friend who is eager to try his hand at spring steelheading.

I tried to find some info for you online, but came up blank. Saw a lot about the reel but no parts sheet.
