Headed up to Oneida co for opener, pretty new to flyfishing, any ideas on what to start throwing? Thanks

Hey, I keep hearing about egg flies, but I've never tried one. Are you guys using sucker spawn egg flies or steelhead egg flies? Just curious. Photo would be nice. Willing to trade patterns!

Yes and no. Depends on how lazy I am. Sometimes I will use ultra wire and chenille. Sometimes I will put a bead in the middle of the hook shank. But usually I lose alot of worms so I just use the same color thread/chenille and tie a bunch up quick. When I fish the thread/chenille worms I add split shot to the rig. If Luv'm is saying daces, I would use streamers. Make sure that your getting your fly deep though, IMO.

Lot's of Black Nosed Daces in the streams up there.

Wolly bugger/streamers are always good. I've got a bunch of prince nymphs ready, along with scuds. Don't know much about Oneida, but those three are generally reliable this time of year.
