When do you feed your pup?

I have gotten different answers and suggestions from my breeder, trainer, vet and a couple long time dog owners, a long my own personal experiences. I am now unsure? For the first six months I fed my pup three times a day. Then I made the transition to twice a day (morning and evening). My pup just turned a year old and now pondering, keep it at twice a day or knock it down to brand suggested amount, once a day in the evening. A couple opinions I have been told are; twice a day, they need breakfast for energy as we all do., they won't train as well if they are hungry,.. only once a day, the morning feeding is rough on her stomach if she is working/training hard., dogs will burn up the food if they eat early and won't get the nutritional value out of it., if they eat the brand suggest amount all at once in the eve before going to sleep they get the most nutritional value out of the food, digest it better and it's healthier for her system..? So that's where im at, unsure? Any suggestions/info.
