CCL surgery

Has anybody out thee ever had a CCL surgery done on their dogs? My chocolate lab tore his and needs surgery to repair it. Any recommendations for surgeons and good rehab. Techniques would help. Any personal preferences would be great also.

It's been 10 days since surgery and it has gone good. The worst thing is he thinks he is normal now

Thanks for the help guys. Spring Harbor is where I scheduled it. Last week I was in Madison on business and I stopped in to talk to Dr. Link after a couple of people referred me to him. He gave me about twenty minutes of his time explaining the procedure to me. I feel very comfortable that he will do a great job.

My lab had his fixed a few years back at Spring Harbor in Madison. Dr. Link is one of the bests in Wisconsin. The only hard thing was having my lab not run after the surgery. Lots of walks around the yard on a leash. Good Luck

were are you located at. there is the big vet in Appleton and there is a very good vet that does lots of the field trial dogs from mil. jeff at Pewaukee vet.

Yes, it is essentially the ACL, but in a dog it is the CCL. He goes in for surgery next Wednesday.

Are you talking about an ACL for the leg.
