Wisconsin River-Stevens Point Cat Fiah Help

I have never catfished before and am new to area but have heard that there is good catfishing opportunities on WI River near Stevens Point. Wanting to take my 10 and 12 year olds out for some action. We have a boat so either boat or shore tips would be fine. I'm not looking for anyone to give away there secret hotspot, but general information to get us pointed in right direction as to what general area of river to try (near Buckholt, Galecki ???) what you look for water depth, structure, etc9 (main channel, drop offs, backwater or ??) Any tips appreciated. Thanks.
