Canadian Reports/Discussion
Help needed.

Can anyone give me some advice for my first trip to Canada. I will be travelling alone either the last 2 weeks in May or the first 2 weeks in July. I'm actually travelling from Europe on a business trip and hoping to fulfill a life long ambition to fish some of the remote Canadian wilderness.
Most outfitters seem to have a two person minimum, so I'm trying to figure out the best way to do a trip as a lone angler.
I would like to do an outpost trip, will outfitters rent out boats and cabins to lone anglers? Would I be able to bring my own tent? Are there any outpost venues that have tent camping facilities?
What are the requirements for foreigners to rent out boats in Canada?
Any help would be appreciated.

I can help you out with what you are asking for. Take care
Take a look at www.birchdalelodge.com they have cabins and also a camp ground. Very nice facilities and equipment. They are located on Eagle Lake in Vermillion Bay, Ontario. You can call them at 807-227-5262. I would go with the first 2 weeks in July especially if you want to camp. There is still a couple of feet of ice on the lakes right now.
Many resorts rent cabins and boats without requiring a minimum number of persons. Go online and Google "Sunset Country Ontario resorts" There are many resorts that you can contact to answer you questions. The last two weeks of May might be questionable because there is still so much ice.
