The NEW LAKE-LINK Suggestion Box

Steve and Darin, As I've already said, the new site really rocks but I thought it might not be such a bad idea to have a "Suggestion Box" where people could offer up some words of wisdom. You may end up with some really outlandish ideas but you'll hopefully get some worthwhile feedback too. With that, I'd like to ask everybody to keep it real and give Steve and Darin some really good ideas for the further improvement of the site. Mine would be to have the ability to go from page to page from both the top and the bottom of page displayed. That would keep you from having to scroll all the way back to the bottom after reading the last post on a page. FF42

Any way to set up a "miserable user" type block for the spammers like VBulletin has (had)? If I remember correctly,it actually blocked users no matter the IP they used (based on tracker cookies, maybe?). That was pretty handy on a site I was on. Helped with problem users, especially those who continually evaded IP bans via proxies, etc. I suspected that forums were accidentally removed as a result of trying to remove the spammers' posts. We've had (new) mods delete, lock and trash threads while trying to modify or remove various users' posts. We've also had some havoc when we've had to delete entire accounts and someone slipped up.

the "geo location" feature sounds like a real plus... good luck!

curious... what's the advantage of having an APP? I access LL "as is" with my phone...seems to work fine, minus my fat fingering the touch keyboard and letting the "help me" software suggest words that I don't want, and don't catch

We are about 80% done the with mobile version on our website. So we are working on it!!

Guys we are looking into the missing forums! We apologize for the inconvenience... We are also looking into the Fake ID spammers... looks like they are manually setting up the accounts. We have blocked IP's, and are looking into other measures. They are all accounts started in Africa, all with different IP's so it is hard to block!

I reported the missing forums a few days ago. At first I thought maybe they moved them to a non public section to clean them up from all the spam, but now I'm not so sure.

I doubt the boys are monitoring this thread... If you have a real problem to report, go down to the very bottom of this or any other page and click on "Contact Lake-Link" they have a nice area there to report things edit: BTW, I did report there were missing forums
