Wisconsin Badgers

I would like to start this thread up again for anyone who is interested in discussing the Badgers. In the future, I hope that the moderators will remove posts from antagonistic people, rather than removing this thread all together. Otherwise, antagonists will be able to remove any thread they want to. So, let's keep things good natured and civil when we talk about the Badgers.

Interesting news about McIntosh.. I believe the Chancelor position is also open and that person is usually involved in the hiring process.

McIntosh leaving for a Big Ten position.  Who will be our next athletic director? Gonna get interesting!

I just realized Johnnie Davis is now on the Bucks G league affiliate, after being released by Memphis after they got him as part of a minor trade. I said he should have stayed at Wisconsin for another 2 years. Sure would have helped both the Badgers and him.

Awesome!! The Badgers will play for the National Championship on Sat. against the Michigan vs Denver winner. It would be so great to have both the men and women win championships in the same season. Go Bucky !!   

That 5 on 3 penalty kill was awesome (and nerve wracking   )..

Taxpayers money, what a waste!!

Governor Tony Evers signed a bill that allocates $14.6 million in taxpayer funding to the University of Wisconsin athletic department, specifically for the Badgers. This funding is intended to help the Badgers athletics program remain competitive and to alleviate facility debt service. The bill passed the Assembly with a 95-1 vote and the Senate with a narrower 17-16 vote.

Just heard about this on a local radio/sports show today. I am sure this will garner some discussion over the next few days. 

The Badgers play N.Dakota  in a Frozen Four semi-final game today at 4:00 on ESPN2. Go Bucky!!

I don't pay much attention to things from ESPN, but they have Blackwell ranked 80th out their top 100 prospects for this year's NBA draft.

Saw data from last year that showed 2,320 of 5,607 eligible guys (40%) entered the portal. Not sure how many guys go back to their old schools but it does happen.  Really liked how Bielaskas was playing at the end of the year..6'10" guy who could shoot 3's and play inside. Will see what happens. This is supposed to be one of the best and deepest draft classes in years. Unless Blackwell is advised he would be a #1 pick then I assume he would stay in college..Probably will even make more $ than being a 2nd rd pick. . 

They said he's participating in the draft process. I guess in the new age of college sports trying to get to a more premier program might help him next season. A tournament run certainly wouldn't have hurt his stock, but Badgers couldn't make it happen.
