i'm bored....and kinda schtoopid, so i figured that maybe there's other bored people out there (i KNOW there's other schtoopid people) that wonder about schtoopid schtuff like i do. either that or i'll just keep the thread goin myself, heh.

That's totally cool... I'm going to check it out, but also always check out the boat launch/ fishing piers for special regs or updates for changes in fish limits/sizes... Can really save you some trouble... I always look, and it seems there's an update/ change 50% of the time... Doh!

I don't have a stupid question but for all those guys on Lake Link that are forever asking about fishing rules and regulations and trusting someone's online answer rather than looking it up, I found an interesting link.

On the Wis. DNR website under fishing regulations, they now have a tab that says "How Many Fish Can I Keep?"

When you click on it it brings up all the lakes in the state. When you then pick a lake it list all the species and season dates, minimum sizes, and number of fish per day for that body of water.

Nice handy link, but I bet the same guys still wont use it.

needed a bag of ice yesterday. Was in Madison. Closest place was the health food store--all totally organic stuff, earth friendly, etc. When it was my turn to check out I asked if the "glacier bay" ice was really from a glacier. If not was it 'single source' ice from a particular spring, or could it be some reverse osmosis tap water from Gary, Indiana? Jim, the clerk, turned the bag over and read the ingredients "water".The 'Glacier Bay' ice came from Minnesota--not exactly the land of 10,000 glaciers. There were three or four tree huggers in line behind me. Rather than getting upset, they wanted to find the source of this ice, too! One lady in a tie-dyed sarong type of dress wearing sandals(34 degrees) said that it was good that i checked before putting this ice in my body. She frowned when i told her the ice was gonna be used to chill down a little Jameson's and i would try to drink it quick to minimize the toxins going into my body. Tounge Out.Madison is a very special place--an entirely different planet right in the heart of Wisconsin! Big Smile

I liked their adds. I didn't see a problem with them.

I posed the same question about the Bad Idea T-shirts on the New Lake-Link Suggestion thread. Not many responses to that one but I can say that I haven't seen another Bad Idea ad since then. Coincedence?

"We don't like older men, we want you!" Click Here.

Anybody catch those?

My line of thinking is the same as you guys, OK for me but I sure wouldn't want junior clicking on there when he comes here looking for stories about the other kind of cougars.

I've always been told LL is a "family friendly" site and have even gotten a warning or two for using symbols for a swear word. Yet every other page I go to on this site has a "Bad Idea" t-shirt add with a picture of a woman showing more cleavage than t-shirt. Does this strike anyone else as slightly hypocritical? I been a paying member several times as well, so why doesn't my money mean I don't have to be "family friendly"?

I went back to look for your picture. Couldn't find it. I think the advertising comes from previous websites you have visited.

I looked at that shirt for a long time. I can't read the print. Maybe it is braille. Mrt.

Brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "healthy glow"

I think we are tinkering with things better left to mother nature.

But if we must, I wish they would make Blue Wing Teal glow in the dark, they come by the duck blind pretty fast. Usually you have to listen for their wings, having them glow would make things a bit easier.

Not sure exactly on the sheep, but I know there are some genetically engineered "glo fish" that pet stores sell.. The reason they were engineered was that scientists eventuall want to find a way to make the "glow" effect only occur under certain water conditions.. Essentially, they want the "glow" to be an indicator of poor water qaulity, chemical spills, etc.. See fish glowing in the water, and you know something isn't right.. The sheep idea may be so that one day they can have sheep that glow in the dark when they are infected with certain viruses and diseases... You see your livestock glowing, you know it's time to call the vet. That's my 2 cents..
