Looks like a pretty dismal year for the Vikes this year. Thought 5-11 was reachable, now I am starting to doubt that. Showing Mr. Moss the door would be the first step towards bringing back some team unity I think. I am also disturbed at Tice's lack of discipline towards Moss. What do you think Viking fans? Should Moss stay or go? Troutnut

I gave up on them after the touchdown with 20 seconds left. Imagine my surprise when I went to look at what I thought was the inevitable final score. The secondary is going to be a problem. Glad to see AP back in the saddle. It's just nice to be ahead of the cellar dwelling Packers. LOL. No offense Packer Backers. I know the Packers are better than the Vikings. Or then again maybe not.

Should pick up B.J. Coleman too so they have someone who can pass it to him!

IMO, AP should not play for another month, and then work back in for about 10 touches per game for a few games. But, they're gonna bring him back right away and risk losing him for good, so who knows. If he doesn't get hurt again, I would be willing to bet he will play at very close to the same level he did before. That's all he knows. So, yeah I burn a pick on him.
Tonight's game - big step BACKWARD! Harrison Smith watching plays in front of him like a spectator, Josh Robinson beaten several times in man coverage, Jenkins and Harvin dropping passes, Kalil getting beat by a speed rush, Sullivan allowing a blocked pass, Fusco getting beat and penalized, Gerhart not running with patience or vision, Ponder hanging on to the ball when he needs to throw it away....
I saw our LB's step up a little, the d-line is very good (as expected), kickers are good, and the tight ends are doing a nice job. Everybody else better kick it in gear in a hurry, including the coaches! I still say GO VIKES!

Word is Peterson is close, should start the season. Think he could play now but he is the franchise and not worth exposing in the preseason. Watched him run and cut, in shorts, that part looks good. It's all about the hit, he says that won't be a problem.... He won a foot race, up a hill, against Percy Harvin, that in itself says something.
Saw where they "fantasy experts" thought he's worth a low 2nd round or a definite third round choice.
Of course I'm hoping for the best and think he will be one of the exceptions, as far as recovery and getting back to all pro form...

The second string and third string offensive lineman in GB are just that. Offensive.
If they get injured on the O-line, they have one quality backup. EDS. They have to hope that last year's #1, Sherrod, recovers from his broken leg. If he doesn't and injuries happen to the line, GB is in trouble.
I'm a Packer fan, and what has stood out to me this year is the rookie class. TT drafted a ton of guys and all of them appear to be good players, even undrafted guys like OLB Moses and SS Richardson look like good players.
GB isn't built to be scary good this year, they will be scary good for years to come. Unless the line gets Rodgers killed, of course.
I haven't seen or heard much on the Vikings. How's AP doing? Is he worth a pick in the second or third round of a fantasy league?

Yeah it is just preseason but the Vikings do look different, plenty of question marks remain...
Did watch the pack last night, plenty of questions there as well. What happened to all the depth? After the starters there isn't much, especially on offense.. Do have to admit Benson looks like a nice pickup for them....

Just remember boy's, this is preseason. Looking good/bad/in between not that important yet. The real season starts 9/9! Could be a long year in Viking land? Hard to tell in August.

DRL, I think you are right. This team should be, and seems to be, much improved from last year. I believe that the DC knows what he is doing, and that should help. Ponder has led scoring drives on every possession, so far, although not enough TD's. New players look big, strong, fast, and seem to know what they are doing. Yes, it's preseason, I know. However, last year they lost 7 games I think by a touchdown or less, the coaching staff and QB were all rookies, no preseason or camp, etc. So, IMHO, I feel an 8-8 season is not an unreachable goal. Interesting, though, that 5 of 6 divisional games are in the last 7 weeks (if I remember right). We'll have to see if the rest of the division got better, too.

Should have drafted Russell Wilson. Really need a QB who can move around and make plays when a play breaks down, which it will. IMHO!

Saw some of the game last Friday, they actually looked better than expected.. Ponder looked fine, offense played pretty good early. Defense was the surprise, for the most part they tackled well, they weren't out of position, showed a lot of energy. Encouraging, will see how it goes this week.
