Looks like a pretty dismal year for the Vikes this year. Thought 5-11 was reachable, now I am starting to doubt that.

Showing Mr. Moss the door would be the first step towards bringing back some team unity I think. I am also disturbed at Tice's lack of discipline towards Moss.

What do you think Viking fans? Should Moss stay or go?

Yep, they played well enough to win. Not 'just' penalties but really, really stupid penalties at really, really bad times extended opponent drives and/or killed their own. Combined with the complete lack of hustle when they were down by 14 with only a few minutes remaining and it sure looks like this team has some leadership and discipline issues.

Didn't get to see the last game at all. Looking over the stats, I hate to see when the Vikes outgain the opponent and lose. Vikes also had 162 total return yards! Very even stats for first downs, time of possession, third down conversions, etc. Looks like the penalties and the lone turnover must have been major factors.

Both lines have to be better. The o-line has inexperience as an excuse, but not the d-line. What's up? Also, from what I saw of the first game and the highlinghts from the second, our secondary is blowing way too many coverages. Well, if they can't play well against the cupcakes, maybe they'll rise up to a challenge this week.

well as a Packer fan I do come on here and get my share of bashing in. I didn't get to see the whole game but to be truthful I was the only one in the tavern pulling for the vikes. I kinda hope they get it somewhat together. Except when they play the pack.

Kalil is already making his mark as a pass blocker. He pretty much shut out Robert Mathis on Sunday (if I remember correctly, Mathis' 1 sack came from the other side). The whole team needs to improve run blocking.

At least Ponder didn't cause the loss. He's the franchise! The lucky tipped pass TD kept them in the game for a while. A.P neutralized and average at best. "D" let them down. At least they have an easy schedule. Smile

Rudolph looks like he's the real deal as well. Hey, Packer fans are always welcome in my opinion. I just prefer good posts like Bugle Trouts that are football related and spur discussion.

Packers fan invading the Purple People's thread. Believe it or not, I'm not here to say anything negative. I have to say that AP is an incredible physical specimen. I can't believe he was even on the field much less productive yesterday. That's a hell of an accomplishment to come back from a torn up knee that quickly.

The North Division is going to be a fun one to watch this year.

Ponder played like Tommy Kramer

He was drunk? LOL

First place Vikes. has a nice ring to it. Too bad it won't be applicable much longer. Enjoy it while we can.

Nice games by Robison, Henderson, Harvin, and Rudolph. Even Jenkins did pretty well, which was fun to see. Would like to see the other veterans on defense and the offensive line play better. I think the new guys will be OK. They need experience. Josh Robinson might be a very good player. Oh, also, I think Blair Walsh might have been worth a sixth round draft pick - he's not too bad so far Big Smile My verdict - need to improve a lot, but an acceptable start. Not used to winning these kind of games.
