Pool Liner
6/6/13 @ 8:59 PM
Bought a house in November with an above ground pool. I know nothing about them and turns out that I really screwed it up by emptying it. I figured I'd replace the water with nice fresh water. Well I'm wondering if anyone would be able to come and give me a hand resetting the liner. The liner now as all kinds of wrinkles in the floor and it seems like it pulled away from the walls a bit too. I live just outside of Omro. I'd be willing to pay for the help. Otherwise I also have an empty pole shed that I'd be more than happy to trade storage space for your services. I know this may get deleted quick due to trading post, but I'm desperate and figured it's worth a try.

I had a pool for many years and know just what your going through. When a new liner is put in, the liner is draped over the outside walls and pulled flat like a big drum. It's then secured all the way around the wall with clamps. As you start to fill it the weight of the water pulls the liner down in the middle of the pool and you keep going around the pool and letting each side down a little at a time. This stretches the liner into place and thats how you get it filled with no wrinkles on the bottom.
After it's filled you will usually have a foot or so of extra liner left over around the whole pool. When the top rail is put back on that extra liner is then cut off so it doesn't show. Now that is has come loose your chance of getting it back in straight is next to none.
I'm pretty sure your looking at a new liner unless that extra I mentioned was folded under the top rail and is still there. I would suggest calling a pool service who might come out for free and at least give you a cost and opinion at replacing it.
Sorry I'm not available, good luck, Polski.
Well why not you get a pool repairing service? Because I think he will done the work perfectly. Or you also can do this, just need to buy some tools and a liner. Good Luck...
