My First Week At Work

Wow .......... This real job is really a drag. I got drag ass after 8 hours of work and then I suck a few beers and I am out like a lite. Does this get any easier? I have been on unemployment for so long that I don't know what it is like to work any more. I got to find a job where I get laid off during the winter. I hope the girlfriend/fiancé appreciates what I am doing and giving up for th future of our relationship. So far I am only having 3-4 beers a nite just in case......

Higgs, you sound like a teenager. I went to work and wasn't able to text my BFF for the entire shift. I hurt my back serving ice cream cones. I didn't get a break for at least 2 hours. I can't go on to tech school I don't learn the same as others. These are real excuses from those that are now past 18 years of age have a H.S. diploma, were given a car, have hit the real world and stopped. Everyone was given the same thing. I only help those that move forward from that point. The plus side 50% are: a Road Deputy, Staff Sargent, Paralegal and a Mechanic. From 3 different mothers. No, they are not all mine genetically.

I don't blame ya Higgs, OT is for over achievers! I certainly wouldn't do anything to make yourself look any better than the rest. The last thing you want at this point is for the boss to think you care about what you're doing. Play it safe, stick to the routine...work, drink, sleep, work drink, sleep...I'm not so sure I'd rush right back on Wednesday either. Heck, ya just worked 5 days, you deserve 5 off now!

Don't know how I missed this thread! What a riot, funny stuff! I suppose the jury is still out on whether or not your for real Higgs. A few months ago I thought so, but after reading a couple dozen of your threads, I think your just trolling for fun. If nothing else your creative, you should work in marketing somewhere - they are creative sorts, you'd fit right in. BTW, funny post BT

What do you guys give him..a week, before the manager at Burger King cans him? "I'm drag ass after 8 hours..." well, Studly, try it for 50 plus years, like I did. Then, you too can retire. Maybe. Unbelievable!! "Sacrifices"... what a joke. Worried

Higgs, tomorrow you will have completed that grueling first week of work, and with that comes a payday. May I suggest you take $100.00 and put it toward Powerball tickets. Take the other $35.00 and get yourself a couple 30 packs of cheap beer to drink next week after you hit the lotto. Don't forget all your Buds here on Lake-Link when you hit it big Big Smile
