If you haven't used the product don't write a review on the vendor website. I am sick of morons writing 'I just took it out of the box and it looks great' or 'I used it once and it's awesome' . Use it before you review. My gripe I set 4 Primos Truth Cameras in May - all were treated with care and equiped with Dura Cells - great pic but one had gone down (blank screen) by July and was exchanged. I just checked the cameras and two more are down. Three ot of 5 Primos Truth 35's won't last a lousy 6 months in the woods. Hello Sportsmans guide here come your trail cameras.

A bushnell trophy camera is essentially a digital camera housed in a secure, watertight casing with infrared LED's to illuminate wildlife at night, and a motion detection system. It's truly a great technology innovation.http://www.bushnell-store.co.uk/trophy-cam-t573

I have two moultrie M-80 and love them i bought them last year and had them from sept.- jan. and just put them back oput earlier this month with the same batteries used last year. You do tend to to get a blank picture here and there but all in all i really like this camera it is very easy to use also. Tounge Out

Has anybody had one of the infrared lenses busted out on any of the older Moultrie cameras before? I had a bear pop the lens out of a brand new D-50 a couple weeks ago. First i thought putting some clear plastic over the hole where the lens was would work, but didn't seem to work unless you were literally inches from the camera. So I tried a piece of plexiglass cut to fit the exact diameter of the hole, and same results. There must be something with the inrared lens that a clear lens wouldn't work? I emailed Moultrie to see about buying just a replacement lens, but haven't heard back yet. Just curious if something similar has happened to somebody also and what they did.

i've had 3 moultries (ir), 2 different cuddies (1 ir and 1 flash), and 1 cabelas brand ir bushnell trail cams. the moultries were all around decent. the battery life is excellent. there were 2 things i didn't care for on them though. first, all 3 take ir pics 90% of the time. even on a sunny day on a field. it didn't matter where i had them, they took ir pics instead of color. all 3's lcd screens stopped working too after 1-2 years. the cuddies are probably my least favorite. they take ok pictures at night, but i'm not impressed with the color pictures. it's reliable to take the pics, but the color ones are blurry quite often on high res settings. the battery life is also the worst out of all 3 brands. lastly, the bushnell is by far my favorite. it runs on aa batteries which last forever in this camera. i'm up to 8 months on the first set, and they're still going strong. the daytime pics are perfect imo. it does seem to lack a little strength in the ir night pictures, but if you're on a trail or closer pictures, it works fine. they're typically clear, just not real bright. one other feature i like about it is that i can have it take pictures every 10 seconds and on burst mode. these pics were taken on the mid res setting.

We use Moultries and have been happy. The battery life could always be better but they are reliable and take pretty good pictures. Two are m80s and the other is a little older model with flash that we only use without the flash on.

I bought a Reconyx 500 2 months ago. Took about 2000 pics so far. Truth is it does not take real good pics at night. Flash is pics are dark around edges with flash. Day pics are ok at best. At this rate I most likely will go 20-40000 pics per set of batteries. It most likely will last 10 years. If it does it will be the cheapest cost trail cam I ever bought.

M camera of choice is the moultrie m80 and they are 110 on amazon or 150 at gander mountain. Has a fast trigger speed and takes pretty clear pics at night. I also have some widgame innovations trail camera that has been working just as good, but not as impressed with the night photos.... Just my opion Wink

I previously commented on my Wildlife Innovations ir8X trail cam and the lack of detailed info in the paper owner's pamphlet, regarding set-up. recharging, features, etc. Those comments still apply, although I still have not viewed the accompanying DVD. As for the operation and performance of the cam, I am very satisfied. The pictures are good and the 6v rechargeable battery is a real plus. After one week with a series of 30-40 pictures, the battery still has a 3/4=1/2 charge remaining. The cam mounts equally well on a square post or tree. I would recommend this cam to anyone.

I have 4 - Moultrie 55IR and 1 Cuddeback IR The Moultries are much less expensive and work just fine. My only issue with them is their trigger speed. More often than not the Moultries are great for me.

The Cuddeback has a very fast trigger, but formats the sd cards differently and I can't read them unless I bring my laptop with me in the woods.

I really like both camera types picture quality is great.

I really like the Scoutguard by HCO and my newest addition is a Big Rack Cam by Big Rack Trophy Products out of Onalaska. I have more experience with the Scoutguard and it takes GREAT pics and videos. Battery life is good and good trigger speed. Was turned on to the Big Rack Cam by a buddy so I thought I would give it a whirl. Easy to use, and take decent pics. It's adjustable from 3, 5, or 8 MP's. 3 sessitivity levels too. He stands behind his products 100%. Only a few pics with it so far but so far, so good. Either one I think is a good way to go. Took this pic off my Big Rack this morning.

I have a IR tasco I got 2 years ago and like it. Bought it in a Cabelas bargain cave and wasn't to confident but have been impressed. It takes 4 aa batteries and has good battery life. Very light ,small and don't even notice it while carrying in your jacket pocket.

I had a moultrie i45 that I bought 2 1/2 yrs ago. It broke just after Halloween. The screen would turn on and then shut off right away. It cost me $15 to send to moultrie. I called a week later to make sure they had it and the girl said it would take 3-4 weeks before they could look at it. No big deal it is the busy season so I understand that. Well today I got a brand new camera in the mail at no cost to me. I am quite impressed that they would do that.

Im with CATCHIN on this one. Why dont they make more flash cameras?? From what ive seen over the years with mutiple cameras, is that IR cameras scare deer more than flash, anyday of the week. That red glow bothers the deer. The new blackout style IR I cant speak for as I have never owned one yet but the regular IR is no good to me. The pics arent crisp and clear. Quality sucks. So again, why arent there more flash style cameras made??
