I think she is getting ready to skin. It was field dressed when we saw it (sometime before the picture) and was over 600 lbs on the hook, if I remember correctly.

It was butchered in your neck of the woods, bowbuckman. Head over to Augusta Meats and ask. I bet they have tons of photos.

That is a huge bear! What the heck is she doing in that picture???? If what is said is the truth I believe the DNR should give the bear back to the farmer as well. As long as the evidence is recorded, they shouldn't need to have that! He put it down then he should have it!

IMO, I think after it's all said and done the farmer should get the animal.

Kinda like instant replay... The next play had already occured so that part of the review is not allowed.

Here's a shot of the monster. Similiar to when I saw it when the deer went in. I still shake my head.

Turns out the big bear what shot during deer season and was then claimed to be hit by a combine.

I saw this bear hanging at the butcher when we dropped our deer off in Augusta.

It was a MONSTER. I couldn't hug it around the neck and touch my hands!!

There is a photo on Lake-Link somewhere that I saw.

Didn't see anything that led me to believe it was shot, but of course I didn't go over it too much as it wasn't my animal and it was hanging on the hook.

did ya read the story?

pics were posted of the bear on here but at that time it was thought to have died from the combine. apparantly some new twists have been discovered in this story.
