Misssed what point that people whine about how long bow season is open....take it up with the dnr or bowhunt...wasnt even talking to you anyways so go stomp through the woods, no entitled attitude just stating a fact and any person that gun hunts has a higher percentage chance of getting a deer, i gun hunt but prefer bow because of the idiots that are out there
Got out a couple of times in the Southern Kettles, saw 2 deer but wasn't able to connect. Went Friday with brother in law he jumped 1 unable to get a shot off. Was nice to get out and try to stalk hunt and try and make are own success.
Sorry if my walking around on public hunting grounds where people are bunny hunting, x country skiing, pheasant hunting, snowmobiling and horse back riding screws up a bow hunters chance at having quality time in the woods. I guess all the other outdoor enthusiast should stay home too!!!!
I agree with the bow hunting comment. Seems funny that bow hunters complain yet they begin their hunt in September. Yes, I have bow hunted and understand that it takes more and there are a lot of variables against you as a bow hunter. However, time is in your court if you are a bow hunter.
For me the Holiday hunt is extra time in the woods chasing big deer. If your neighbors are just out to slaughter the herd I feel sorry for you. That happened a few years back when we had 10 acres of beans planted. The yahoo's that hunted the neighboring property shot 23 deer that season. That was the last time we planted anything. They have been kicked off the property and this spring we will plant food plots. There are plenty of deer in my area so the extended season has minimal impact on the deer herd. Shot this guy Christmas eve.
