I'm definately ordering the Scorpyd Ventilator. BLAZING arrow speed of over 400fps with a kinetic energy value at 140lbs. WOW!!!! Nothing else even comes close to this one. Like a crossbow on steroids. Can't wait to dump the old Matthews now that crossbows are legal. Anyone have any experience with the Ventilator 150 ?

XHunter1 Please post on how it performs! That's the bow I am looking to buy. I have a lower just waiting for it. Also, comment on the bolts, I understand they're unique to the weapon.

"Just bought a PSE TAC....can't wait to get it out and shoot it." Yes, people have been purchasing crossbows hand over fist from what I've seen. Like the ammo scare they're afraid there won't be any crossbows to purchase by next year so they're getting them while the getting is good.

I'm sorry I don't understand you mean all that money I spent earlier this yr on getting my disability lisc to hunt with a cross bow. I didn't need to go to the doc because everyone can hunt with one now

"Back to recommendations for crossbows. Have shot most high end ten points and others. Bought the wicked ridge warrior the first year it came out. Now they have it for $430 at Fleet with the multi crosshair scope. It used to have a junky red dot which I replaced with the ten point scope. Shot 6 deer with it in Michigan in the last 3 years. If you don't shoot further than 35 yards it's by far the best bow for the buck, quiet, accurate, light and simple. Just lube the string and rail every 10 shots." Good advice!!!

what a catty/petty bunch over here in the archery section Smile Yep, guys like Ron just need to ruin it for everyone else, it's easy when you can hide behind a computer. This used to be a good place to get some good conversation going but a few door knobs ruin it for everyone. Can't ask about Doe in Heat without some blowhard turning it into a baiting debate.

ski you took it the wrong way. Just making a point that you don't have to practice much.

Vector went on some other sites to see what going on. Unbelievable. It always bothers me when people from other states get involved in what happens in Wisconsin. They spin it there way lie and tell half truths!!!

Lookn I disagree. There is only so much the WBH can do. Lets see, you have the National Rifle Association and out of state lobbyist putting all their money into this!!!!! This is the best compromise they could get. It surprises me that crossbow hunters will have their own seasons and they are still not happy!!!! Smile slayer If they are going to do this I hope they start it this year so your dad can hunt in the crossbow deer season. 2313 they are a weapon. My dad will get his out the day before and he can do that at 35 yards with a rest!!!

my dad is 58 and cannot shoot a regular bow... and the fees for handicapped is insane so he gave it up... cross bow will bring him back into archery hunting.... will make the state millions cause other hunters will come here... theres no reason they cant get this done before season... drag there feet like always like the statewide motor trolling thanks dnr...

Thankfully this was done in a down right perfect manner Only thing to be thankful for is that this proves the WBH is just another barking dog with no bite. If our opinion was really wanted for these decisions they would be requested at the time you purchase a license, when everyone could participate. We should not have to search for things to vote on or give our opinions, or worse yet rely on the rantings of some psychopath who claims to represent us. Like I said personally I will survive, but this seems like a huge step backwards for many hunters I know.
